A Magic Wand

This is a magic wand that my 4 year old brought home from her friend's birthday party today.

PS Oh, and in case you have missed the latest news, Facebook have shut down Scary Azeri fan page. No idea why. They recently refused to remove a fan page of a murderer who had killed 3 people. They said  it was not a good enough reason to close the debate. However, they decided Scary Azeri was too offensive.

I hereby present them with this... wand.

  1. Lolllll... But then again, I'm not surprised. Some of Facebook's decision in the recent months were questionable anyway. I don't want a fanpage for my blog, nor do I like the "like" button on every website. I'm totally on Google's side and the way they see the future of the internet and not on Facebook's. I think most important is that your followers can still read this blog, that ban of your fanpage is giving you publicity. Use it. I'd write a longer post than this one.

  2. @MKL I know, you are right. But what else is there to say? I will see what happens with my complaints, and with some people saying they might try to help...and then perhaps, an interesting posting will materialise out of a total F'up that it is now.

  3. One more reason for not being a Facebook user.

  5. @Oskar: Never seen a comment from you before? Hello!

It is bizarre! I can see the posting from my home computer, and Gabriela could, too. But I know some others could not. No idea what that is, or how it works! Cats are spooky, you know. As Riyad said on FB...It truly has gone missing! :) When I have a spare minute ( maybe never?) I might re-edit it again. But it took me a while as I had to post each picture separately, and the text separately...etc etc.
must try though as it was superb.

  6. A tip: try copying your text in HTML version, then paste as a new post, also in HTML. Then press the COMPOSE button (I don't know the word used in the English version). That's how you can copy all the text, photos included, very easily.

  8. As a children's librarian and expert (erm, nearly) balloon artist, I make those all the time, with a smile on my face. The kids love 'em, the parents? They either blush or laugh. :)

  9. Scary Azeri, you are hillarious! Loved the magic wand - will forever be reminded of this when I get my 5 year old his 'sword'... :-)

  10. @Terresa: I often wondered if others see it as a suspicious shape. Surely, they must. :) The parents I know dont blush and don't laugh. They pretend they dont see it. :))

@Anonymous: Thank you! I aim to please. :)

  11. @ Scary Azeri,

Yes, I often visit your page as I enjoy discovering the people of a nation (and country) that I know very little of.

So, please keep up the great work and dont forget that there is a great number of people that you dont know of (and most probably will never get to know) that enjoy reading your posts and are waiting for more to come. They may not be leaving as many comments as you'd like to, but that to no extend means that they didnt find your writing fresh and interesting.

    best regards,

    Oskar
